Dilip seeks more Japanese investment

Industries Minister Dilip Barua Wednesday called upon Japanese businessmen to invest in pharmaceuticals, ceramics, textiles, apparels, garments, leather and others sectors to strengthen the process of industrialisation here.

“Bangladesh and Japan can work together for industrialization,” he said while Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) Chairman and former assistant vice-chairman Hiryuki Ashige met him at his secretariat office.

Industries Secretary KH Masud Siddique, Japanese Ambassador Shiro Sadoshima and Additional Industries Secretary ABM Khorshed Alam were present on the occasion.

During the meeting, the minister lauded the Japan government and its people as a development partner of Bangladesh saying, “Success of Japan in industry and other sectors inspires Bangladesh.” —BSS
